4. The IP Searching function will then begin and the called party will hear the searching tone (a short beep every two

seconds).

5. It takes around 15 seconds to complete the IP Searching process.

A successful IP searching will be confirmed with three consecutive tones on the caller’s side. (One long tone indicates the

process has been failed)

6. The recipient can now hang up the phone.

When the above is complete, you should then be able to make an IP call through

ARTDIO IPH by dialing

“#00216263532158540#”.

9.2. Appendix B: Automatic IP Searching Procedure

Between two ARTDIO IPHs, you can also dial “＊ + the phone number + #”. However, the Automatic IP Searching

process will start every time the phone number’s IP information can’t be found in the (built in) dynamic phone book. The

acquired result after a successful searching process will be stored in the dynamic phone book and saved to the flash memory

which will be updated every hour. This will ensure that data won’t be lost even when

ARTDIO IPH’s power is turned off.

However the information is updated on an hourly basis, some information may be lost if

ARTDIO IPH is turned off between

updated period. The Automatic IP Searching procedure is slightly different depending on whether the Automatic Answering

function on the remote

ARTDIO IPH is enabled or not. Two examples with detailed procedures are described below:
